Board meeting 13.11.19

Upperby CDC – November 13, 2019

There were no apologies.

Billy updated the Board on the latest news from the boardroom. The club’s financial position had stabilised and EWM had not been called on for support in six months. He also updated those present on the situation around the departure of Steven Pressley who the club had announced that morning was leaving with immediate effect.

A plan to hold a members’ meeting before Christmas was discussed. A date of December 15 was decided upon in Foxy’s with an 11am start. The agenda would be open. A potential members survey was also discussed with a series of questions that had been put together by a new member which could form the basis of the survey, to be put out prior to the meeting.

We had contributed to an academic paper being put together by a student at Northumbria University. Nigel had met the author recently to discuss the work of CUOSC and its relationship to the football club. A series of follow-up questions had been put to us which had been forwarded to Board members for them to make suggestions.

We had committed to holding another food bank collection during the February half-term. Plans for a pre-Christmas food bank collection were also discussed. The next quiz night would not be arranged until after Christmas.

Finances remained stable with 438 members now signed up. Our welcome pack would be updated at the earliest available opportunity.
